Short write up here, just something I uploaded for someone. The Ultimate Warriors were an obscure first or second wave power violence band. I think first. They used to wear Mexican wrestling masks while performing so you know they're good.

Dead Stare For Life

No. Fucking. Comment. Seriously the best hardcore/powerviolence band of all time. So much malice is present in the vocals despite them being fairly decipherable. The music is played at blisteringly fast pace, and the live tracks seem even faster. If that's possible. This is their discography lp, which contains the two 7"s the demo and some live tracks. They didn't put out much but damn were they good. Eric Wood went on to sing for Man Is The Bastard, who are also very badass. Check check check it.

So those of you that know me, know that I blow my load consistently over Witchcraft. Well this is Norrsken, the band that Magnus played in before Witchcraft and goddamn is it full of win. The first two tracks are pretty reminiscent of Flower Travelling Band, whom I also spew my load over. Download nao.

Here's just a pretty chill post-rock band that added me the other day. I haven't listened to it much, but I liked what I had heard. Either way worth a listen.

Communism is the theme of this album, and the title is a mouthful. I'm not a huge fan of post-punk, in fact Killdozer and Joy Division are pretty much it for me. I always described this album as a sort of Cathedral meets The Pixies vibe. The vocals are this really strange growly rasp, I dunno, kind of reminiscient of Lee Dorrian at times. Entertaining album through and through.

What we have here is a live album by none other than Miles Davis. I'm a jazzfag, get over it. On this recording, he had what many consider to be the pinnacle of his live performing band. Clocking in at over an hour and a half this is no light shit. This is heavy in a different sense of the word.

First up we have It Is I. Featuring Thomas Choi of Asbestosdeath, Noothgrush, and Operator Generator among others. This alone should convince you it's good. Industrial sludge doom, coupled with a fantastic rhythm section and some solos that you'd swear were being played by Matt Pike during his Sleep days.

Next up is Ogre. Featuring two members of the cult doom band Blood Farmers should give you a good idea of what to look for. The band likes to describe themselves as proto-doom. I'd say that's a good moniker, or doom rock. Either way this album consists of one 37 minute track divided into 11 movements. It tells the story of mankind's destruction at the hands of itself and the rise of the dog-king and their eventual redemption at the hands of Collosus. Epic, I know.

Brian Eno - Ambient 1: Music For Airports
Ambient. Brian Eno is known by many to be the father of ambient music. This album came out in 1978, and never ceases to amaze me. The state of mind it can create is surprising, considering as Brian Eno said, "Ambient Music must be able to accommodate many levels of listening attention without enforcing one in particular; it must be as ignorable as it is interesting."
