Send More Paramedics - The Awakening

Hardcore punk/thrash(core)? Something like that. It's really catchy stuff.

Walknut - Graveforests and Their Shadows

Apparently I haven't posted this yet. Weird. One of my current favourite depressive/atmospheric BM bands. Members from Nitberg, Forest, and Temnozor.

Macabre Omen - The Ancient Returns

Hellenic and war-themed black/death metal from Greece. Awesome album. Intertwining vocal styles (high-pitched and spoken word or singing), great riffs, and just all around great atmosphere. All music done by Alexandros (except for session musicians), who's also in the black metal band The One. Not my upload.

3. An Ode to Rhode
4. The Perfect Sound of North Vs. South
5. Hellas - Ode A /Ode B

Negura Bunget - 'n Crugu Bradului

This is a great album. Negura are fucking amazing. They play some real funky black metal and sing in archaic Romanian. Really intense stuff.

Paysage d'Hiver - Paysage d'Hiver

Translating to "landscapes of winter" in French, Paysage d'Hiver is the project of one Tobias Möckl. Most of his work is ambient or distant black metal. This release is purely black metal, and is my favorite of his. The first song has some amazing musical juxtapositions. Excellent stuff if you can get past the production and song lengths. Get it.

1. Welt Aus Eis
2. Gefrorener Atem
3. Der Weg

Mediafire
On the version I uploaded, tracks 2 and 3 are merged together.

Mirkwood - Journey's End

Atmospheric black metal from the United States that has lyrical themes of... SUPRISE! Tolkien. It's pretty good stuff.

1. Journey's End
2. Winter Path
3. Through Endless Forests

4. Bloodshedding Horror
5. Deathwish
6. A Twisted Mind
7. I-10

download

Nordlicht - Nebelmeer

Very cold, distant, and atmospheric black metal from Switzerland. Nimosh (man behind the project) runs Kunsthall Produktionen with Wintherr from Paysage d'Hiver, so it's a must have. Once you get past the production, it's an excellent piece of work.

1. Interlude I
2. Winterweg
3. Interlude II
4. Nebelhall
5. Interlude III
6. Herbstrot
7. Interlude IV
8. Nebelherr

Weakling - Dead As Dreams

Fairly well known already, but I wanted to post it for those who don't have it. Not my upload, since my Internet sucks lately. Anyways, really good, drawn-out black metal from the United States that's mainly about war but has a... "trance" like feel in the atmosphere that's created with the music. Very highly recommended, although some won't have the patience.

2. Dead As Dreams
3. This Entire Fucking Battlefield

Gris - Il Était Une Forêt...

Really good depressive black metal from Canada. Not as much about "depression" as in the balance between depression and happiness. Very chilling, to be honest. Formerly known as Niflheim. Highly recommended to anyone fond of the genre. Sorry about the Rapidshare, as I didn't upload it myself.
